Grab a commercial glass cleaning spray. Wet the glass again covering it with a light spray of water from the bottle. If you applied the tint yourself or it is out of warranty decide if you want to repair it yourself or hire a professional. Flatten the bubbles in window tint after the window tint has been warmed up and dampened carefully poke a tiny hole in each bubble with a small straight pin.

Open the door on your vehicle and spray the tint down with your glass cleaner. The average weekend tint technician can repair peeling tint film in about 30 minutes. Cut a section of tint slightly larger than the entire window. Cut the edges with a razor blade trimming along the top edge first.

Spray the window with water then peel the backing from the tint film and position it on the wet glass. Wait for a sunny warm day. Really soak the tint to get the entire window soapy and wet. Cut a square of new tint in the same color and shade as the old material remaining on your window.

Window tint repair and installation is a fairly tedious process requiring precision and the use of tools that can flatten the tint and heat that will help it adhere again to your windows. Quickly squeegee out the air bubbles starting at the center of the window and working out. Spray the inside of the window down with glass cleaner. If the peel is small enough then a sectional replacement is recommended.

The new piece should be at least one inch larger on all sides than the square piece you removed. Window tinting is easier to work with and the adhesive is more pliable when it is a sunny day and the temperature is at least 75 degrees.
